Our student, Giovana Lacerda, has been selected to participate in the DJBA Program – Young Deputies of Bahia, an immersive initiative aimed at providing students with firsthand experience of parliamentary life and legislative work at the Bahia State Legislative Assembly (ALBA) for one week. Giovana will have the opportunity to simulate the routine of a parliamentarian, understand their activities, and contribute to the drafting and voting on laws in the Bahia State Legislative Assembly. The program will take place from November 27 to December 01 at the ALBA headquarters.
To apply, Giovana submitted a statewide legislative proposal, addressing the ratio of doctors in the State’s capital and interior in relation to every thousand inhabitants. In her project, Giovana also presented various possibilities for reducing this disparity.
Here at Leffler School, we encourage participation in extracurricular events that enrich learning and promote personal development. We are extremely proud of Giovana’s dedication and brilliance!
Check out the video where Giovana shares insights about her project and her expectations for the program.
