“Technology by itself has no purpose. It is an important tool, but the goal is in the knowledge and self-knowledge for a life project”, says the professor and director of technology Breno Gramacho.For this reason, we are constantly working towards making technology an ally for the education of our students.

Besides tutoring, we use data analysis and A.I. applied techniques to better understand how our students learn. This way, we can follow the student’s development alongside their families, seeing more clearly their needs and their strong and weak points, in order to mold and personalize teaching through educational technology.

A great example is how we use data analysis and automated systems to understand the teaching-learning process, motivating students to develop not only hard (technical) skills but also soft (social and emotional) skills.

Once an opportunity for development is identified, the school’s coordination provides lessons, pedagogic counseling and communication with parents and tutors. Besides having the support of the teachers, with acknowledged competence in the most disputed exams in the country, individualized attention allows students to not fall behind: they aren’t just another one in the crowd.

And what about social and emotional competences? One of our strong points is stimulating the students’ socioemotional skills, a set of competences that generate many benefits in the student’s life. With a now clear importance to the job market and personal life, skills such as pronunciation, creativity, emotional intelligence, project developing, autonomy, leadership and teamwork are not forgotten at Leffler. Inside hybrid teaching there is a gamified platform focused on reinforcing math content, completely customizable and adaptable to the student (students with difficulties in the subject get more reinforcement content in a more playful way and with support of the teachers to properly level these students.)

The trails of knowledge and elective subjects Math, physics and chemistry from Scratch are especially made for high school and present complementary content to the ones teached in the classroom, focused on students who are in a bigger need of assistance in these subjects.

As a Google for Education School, we provide all students with the platform tools. Those are innovative resources that allow new ways of learning besides aiding in the research and complementary studies to the ones provided in class.

Leffler’s students can also count with Google Chromebooks, available in order to develop activities, group works and easier online evaluations. This initiative has the goal of facilitating access to the web, where the student finds endless possibilities of information that aids in the construction and solidification of knowledge when explored properly.
